MOT
Vehicles require an annual MOT test once they have reached 3 years old. This important mandatory yearly safety inspection checks many components and systems on your vehicle against set criteria to ensure it meets the legal minimum standards.
If you aren’t sure when your vehicle’s MOT expires, there is no need to panic! The handy online government tool allows you to check, within a matter of seconds, when your MOT is due, an overview of any advisories from last time, and also if there are any outstanding recalls on the page below:

Is your MOT due soon or has it expired? Then don’t worry! At Hurst Garage we are pleased to be able to offer a convenient MOT-by-arrangement service. All you need to do is book in, leave your vehicle with us on the day and we do the rest, allowing you to get on with your day and not travel long distances and be left waiting around. Once your vehicle has been for its impartial MOT inspection, we will contact you to inform you of its result.
You can get your vehicle MOT’d at any time, regardless of when it expires. But if you wish to preserve the expiry date anniversary then the vehicle must be presented no earlier than 30 days before its current MOT expires.

Following many years of trading in the Chailey area, JF Motors moved to our current larger, better equipped premises where our team have been looking after the local community’s vehicles ever since. Hi I’m John! I have now been a mechanic for over 40 years. I am a fully certified as a Certified Automotive Engineer (CAE) with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), as well as a registered member of City and Guilds.
Following the successful growth of my business in Chailey I have decided to take on a new challenge on a bigger, better equipped garage in Hurstpierpoint. I look forward to seeing you all soon!
